    This month's newsletter is full of information about the various events that have taken place including two workshops when parents/carers of Year 3 and Year 5 joined their children, SATS, assemblies, trips, inschool K'Nex challenge and more. During the coming month the children will be participating in non uniform days and national clean air day. We are also pleased to announce that the school has been awarded the Pimary Science Quality mark.

    This month's newsletter is packed with numerous items including a report on our recent Ofsted inspection where we were judged to continue to be a Good school, proposed uniform changes for next year and details of the numerous events and activities that have taken place during the past few weeks. Activities include mothers day gift sale, red nose sale, science week activities - ship building, mad science workshops and visit to Ashcroft, tree planting, enterprising Year 6, Year 4 play - the Pirates of the Curry Bean, world book day, anti bullying workshops and a football match.

    Extra Curricular School Clubs - List of Clubs Available

    Attached is a list of the extra curricular school clubs for the autumn term. Please note you will be able to book and pay for clubs with Tucasi Online (SCOPAY.COM) from 5:00pm on Monday 8th July. Online payments letters have already been sent home to parents/carers. You can also download the Tucasi (SCOPAY.COM) APP. Applications and payments for clubs to be made online only. Please do not send in forms or cash payments to the school office. When booking clubs, please remember to select your child's year group for September (i.e. child's NEW class - not current year group).

    School Uniform - Change of PE Kit & New Uniform Stockist

    Attached is a copy of a letter that will be sent home regarding school uniform. From September, the school will no longer sell uniform. The school does have limited stocks still available for purchase, however, Rickys Fashions in the Mall Market Hall will now be our uniform stockist. After listening to parental feedback, we will be changing our PE uniform - see attached letter for details.

    Someries Sports Week 24-28 June & Sponsorship Form

    Attached are details for the Sports Week (24-28 June 2019) where the children will be completing the "five + five" challenge: run (or walk) a mile a day and taking part in at least five sporting activities with their class during the week. Children will experience a range of sports, and weather permitting, they will also complete personal challenges and attempt a climbing wall. We are challenging our pupils to run or walk the Someries Mile each day and are hoping to raise money for the School Council playground equipment fund and to support the Keframa School Project (to build a new school in a poor area of Uganda). A paper copy of the letter and sponsor forms have been sent home with your child today. You may fill in the paper form or use the online link below to donate.
