    NSPCC 'Speak out, stay safe' programme

    I am pleased to inform you that we are participating in the NSPCC’s ‘Speak out, Stay safe’ programme again this term. This programme aims to help children aged 5-11 to understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a safe adult or to Childline.
    Please find attached a letter with further information and links to resources and support that you can access to help keep children safe.

    Back to school advice from local health agencies

    Please find attached a joint letter from the Chief Primary Care Officer (Bedfordshire, Luton, Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board) and the Director of Public Health (Luton Council). If your child has not yet had their flu vaccination and you wish them to be vaccinated, please collect a permission form from the School Office as we are holding an on-site catch up flu vaccination session later this month.  Deadline for return of completed permission forms is 9:00am on Monday 9 January 2023.

    NSPC Speak Out. Stay safe. Programme

    Attached is a letter with further information on the NSPCC’s Speak out. Stay safe. online programme. This consists of an online assembly that we watched today and supporting classroom based activities. “Speak out. Stay safe.” is a safeguarding programme available to all primary schools in the UK. It aims to help children understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse in a child friendly way.     Co-op Community Partner - Raising Funds for Someries Juniors

    We are pleased to inform you that we have been successful in our bid to be a local Co-op community partner again. If you shop regularly at a Co-op store and you would like to support this cause, please choose us as your community partner at: membership.coop.co.uk/causes/43438 . Please also encourage local friends who shop at a COOP to do the same. This will enable you to raise funds for this project every time to buy Co-op products – at no cost to you!

    RELAY Protocol - Domestic Abuse Notifications

    Attached is a letter informing you that that the school is part of a jointly run scheme between Luton Council, Bedfordshire Police and our School, called RELAY.  The school has been asked by the local authority to inform parents/carers that the school is part of this local scheme which is in response to the national scheme ‘Operation Encompass’ (www.operationencompass.org).

    School Uniform - Change of PE Kit & New Uniform Stockist

    Attached is a copy of a letter that will be sent home regarding school uniform. From September, the school will no longer sell uniform. The school does have limited stocks still available for purchase, however, Rickys Fashions in the Mall Market Hall will now be our uniform stockist.
    After listening to parental feedback, we will be changing our PE uniform - see attached letter for details.
